There are numerous aspects of pregnancy and birth to consider on your journey to avoid having an unnecessary cesarean. You need to choose a care provider who will truly support you, you need to do everything you can during pregnancy to support optimal fetal positioning and a reasonable baby birth weight. Most importantly, you need to educate yourself, you can’t rely on your care provider to supply the answers, or you might just realize that you had a birth that was ideal for them, not a birth that was ideal for you and for your baby.
